Mike Downie’s Artist Statement:
“This video is the last time I get to collaborate with my brother, so I guess you could say this is my ‘Goodbye’ to my Gord. It’s not a ‘goodbye’ to a sibling or to a friend it’s a ‘goodbye’ and a ‘thank you’ to an inspiring and loyal collaborator. Gord and I worked together several times over the years and the experience never failed to bring us closer together. It was never about the result it was all about the ritual and the reward was intrinsic - it was in the doing. I loved making music videos and documentary films with him. Those films changed my life and taught me lessons I’m still unpacking all these years later. But this one is special. Gord loved making art, Gord loved living with art and now Gord is the art - forever and always.”
