In this video on SheyStats, we rank the Presidents of the United States from the youngest to the oldest at the time they assumed office — from Rank 47 (youngest) to Rank 1 (oldest).

To become President of the United States, a candidate must be at least 35 years old. Anyone younger than that is not eligible under the Constitution. Over the course of American history, presidents have taken office at very different stages of life, making age an interesting factor to explore.

From a psychological and leadership perspective, many experts suggest that large-scale executive decision-making often peaks between the ages of 40 and 55, due to a balance of maturity, experience, and cognitive stability. However, this does not imply incapacity or lack of legitimacy for leaders older than this range. Leadership effectiveness depends on far more than age alone.

🗳️🇺🇸 To be eligible for President of the United States, a person must:

Be a natural-born citizen of the United States
Be at least 35 years old
Have lived in the United States for at least 14 years

Additionally, under the 22nd Amendment, a person can serve only two terms as president.
