Suzuki DL1050Xt Ride from Kandos NSW to Bathurst on the Bylong Valley Way

This ride was part of my 21 day trip from Perth WA to Walcha NSW.
Kandos is a small country town but has some great motorbike riding although when I did this ride on the 23rd of October 2022 there were severe floods throughout NSW and VIC. Many of the roads had become badly damaged and in some places roads were closed. The Bylong Valley Way was closed from Jerry Plains to Kandos so I was not able to ride this section.
Riding was head down and concentrate on the potholes and dont look up.
Just out of Kandos I had a large Kangaroo jump out of the scrub and bashed into the side of my bike breaking my right pannier. Fortunatley the bike stayed up and I was not injured. I was too busy concentrating on the potholes and not looking out for kangaroos.
