FBI Memo Calls to Infiltrate the Latin Mass | EWTN News Nightly

Описание: From a leaked FBI memo to the arrest of a British priest, the signs point to a crackdown on Catholics. Fr. Sean Gough was charged in Britain for silently praying outside a closed abortion clinic last week. Meanwhile, a leaked memo from the FBI field office in Richmond, Virginia, which the FBI has since retracted, warned that radical traditional Catholics could be a threat to national security. Attorneys general from 20 states wrote a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray condemning the memo. Richmond Bishop Barry Knestout followed suit, calling it "troubling and offensive to all communities of faith, as well as all Americans." This FBI memo even suggested infiltrating the Latin Mass. President of Franciscan University, Father Dave Pivonka, discusses his reaction to this as Franciscan University has Latin Mass on campus as well as a very Orthodox student body and team of professors. Fr. Dave explains whether he believes we are on the path towards criminalizing Catholic beliefs. The Church has walked through dark times before and persecution of Catholics is nothing new.
