We didn’t plan to leave Uganda this week—but when the internet was suddenly shut down ahead of the national election, we had to act fast.
With our daughter in the middle of finals week for her online high school, turning in exams and papers was non-negotiable. So we made a quick decision, crossed the border, and found ourselves in Kenya.
In this video, we share the moment we realized we had to leave, what it’s like crossing the Uganda–Kenya border, and how we ended up spending a few unexpected days at a beautiful resort in Busia, Kenya.
