Hope you’re doing well!!
This video took me ages to record and edit, I liked the sounds when I was editing it, I wanted it to be a bit more abrupt and chaotic because I’ve been watching a lot of ASMR like that lately and I feel like the roughness or idk the word, lack of precision is something I prefer a lot more. I cannot watch any slow asmr with lip cracking and high quality mics these days, it weirdly makes me cringe and I have to click off, it feels too personal and like I’m cornered in a room with someone in awkward silence, and they smile really wide and stare at me and tap slowly. (Not to bash that ASMR at all though, I know a lot of people hate aggressive asmr and that’s all fine ahaha). So I really like imperfect asmr, or fast, aggressive or intense sounds, it feels like it stops awkwardness in a way.


The last few weeks have been pretty busy for me, I went to my little sister’s school concert, it was Christmassy and they did a lot of carols, it was honestly amazing. I couldn’t believe how talented some of the students were, there was a girl with a beautiful opera voice, and another girl who played the violin. I was honestly in disbelief at how good it was, I hope I get to go next year too! My little sister has also been dying to get into acting, so my mum signed her up for this workshop and I got to watch the last hour of it. Some of the child actors were so talented!! My little sister was putting a lot of effort into it and it was quite sweet. However the kids did all shout 67 at one point and it sent a surge of cringe through me. I’m sure I was no better at that age, me and my friends used to spam quotes from vines, like ‘Road work ahead? Ya I sure hope it doesssss’. I did ask my sister if she knew any vines, (she’s 12) I did a test on her, honestly, it was sad LOL she knew basically none of them. I was like “what’s 9 + 10?” And she said “19”… ;O; she didn’t know the what does the fox say song, virtually anything to be honest. :’) It’s just crazy the difference in our childhoods, she is from a totally different generation, I struggle to relate with her sometimes. She seems concerned with completely different things in comparison to me when I was 12, but I wasn’t very cool at 12 tbh. I know she wouldn’t have been friends with me. I made littlest pet shops videos (like made a series out of them), played animal jam, and used to try and do my little pony voice acting as well, I was convinced I wanted to be a voice actor, I also downloaded a minecraft mod to turn everyone into ponies. I uploaded videos to YouTube doing this, playing bedwars and castle siege as fluttershy, or sweetiebelle or something and one of the girls at my school found it and I was filled with anxiousness all day waiting to get home so I could take the videos down LOL. I also think I had identity issues fr, I was so obsessed with some celebrities and wanted to look like them so bad, I was very dissatisfied with myself and super uncomfortable in my own skin, anyone else? I plucked my eyebrows so bad to try and look different, I wasn’t allowed makeup until I was 16-17, but I would’ve gone wild with it. My school years honestly weren’t that great, I was so deeply insecure and every time I look back I’m not really filled with any positivity. Apart from when I think about year 7 and below. Everything above that was just me staring at the clock waiting for the day to end, then I’d go to ice skating practice, and play minecraft with my online friends on multiplayer servers.
