Antalya was founded 2000 years ago because of the good harbor that soon became a major Mediterranean port. The Roman Harbor was Antalya's lifeline from the 2nd century B.C. to the 20th century when New Antalya was built. Surrounded by old Roman walls, the Antalya harbor is still the center of this historic city with Kaleici sprawling around it.

All daily offerings are displayed on the wharf along with a representative who will do their best to coax you into coming out onto the water.
