Good morning,
Heat is building with thunderstorm chances returning later this week in Las Vegas. A string of First Alert Weather Days continues through next week.
An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect as high temperatures push toward 110° this afternoon. The hottest weather is expected to continue through Friday, with little overnight heat relief. As afternoon highs push 110°, overnight low temperatures around the Las Vegas Valley will be in the mid-to-upper 80s.
A push of monsoonal moisture is forecast to push into Southern Nevada this weekend, with thunderstorm chances returning on Friday and continuing through the weekend. Heavy downpours, localized flash flooding, and gusty wind are possible around any thunderstorms that develop.
