The Met Office has upgraded its wind warning for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly from amber to red, saying the weather will now pose a "danger to life". The forecaster says that people should expect "damage to buildings and homes, with roofs blown off and power lines brought down" and "flying debris resulting in danger to life" as fears intensify that Storm Goretti could wreak havoc.
