Описание: We created this animation to show how the August 12, 2026 solar eclipse will look from different cities around the world — and how the same eclipse can appear completely different depending on where you are.

From places where the Moon only takes a small bite out of the Sun, to locations where the Sun is almost completely covered, and finally to the path of totality where the Sun disappears behind the Moon, this animation compares the eclipse city by city.

In this visualization, we follow the Moon’s journey across the Sun and show:
🌑 The percentage of the Sun covered in each location
☀️ The local time when the eclipse begins, reaches maximum, and ends
🌍 How the view changes from North America to Europe and the path of totality

The August 12, 2026 solar eclipse will be one of the most spectacular astronomical events of the decade, with totality crossing parts of Greenland, Iceland, Spain, and other regions, while millions of people across Europe and North America will experience a partial eclipse.
