9,000 orders a day in 50,000 m² is a serious test for any operation. DHL presents its Warehouse Simulator, an AnyLogic digital twin that tests strategies safely. The model reproduces outbound flows such as unit and full-case picking, value-added steps, conveyors, and sorters aligned to the real layout and staffing logic.
The talk walks through the project scope, data preparation, model build, KPI validation, and dashboards tracking turnaround, congestion, and utilization. It also demonstrates a slotting scenario that reduces travel and pick-and-pass and a simple tool that allows teams to set up and run scenarios in minutes.
