A quick guide to Obstetric Cholestasis (ICP)

Описание: Intrahepatic Cholestasis in Pregnancy is a condition that affects around 0.7% women (UK statistics). It is a serious condition which presents as severe itching particularly on the hands and feet.

When this condition is monitored and managed there are no concerns for the mother and baby but if the condition worsens then pregnant women are usually advised to have an induction of labour to avoid some of the more serious risks associated with the condition.
