Indian Railways has set ambitious punctuality targets for the 2025-26 financial year, aiming to enhance on-time performance across its network. Recent data highlights the achievements of various railway divisions:
Bhavnagar Division (Western Railway): Leads with a punctuality rate of over 99.6%.
Madurai Division (Southern Railway): Achieves a 99.2% on-time performance.
Ratlam Division (Western Railway): Records a 98.9% punctuality rate.
Bikaner Division (North Western Railway): Maintains a 98.1% on-time performance.
Sealdah Division (Eastern Railway): Achieves a 98% punctuality rate
Furthermore, 32 railway divisions have surpassed 90% punctuality, while 17 divisions maintain over 80% on-time performance. For instance, the Vijayawada Division reports an 89.5% punctuality rate, and the Firozpur Division follows closely with 89.2%.
