Centurion Flood Aftermath: Potholes, Damage After Heavy Summer Rains

Описание: Centurion residents are taking stock after severe summer flooding swept through parts of the city in late December. From washed-out roads and damaged infrastructure to overflowing rivers and recurring potholes, the impact of the floods is clearly visible across several suburbs.

In this video, I visit affected areas including Rooihuiskraal North and Bronberrick to document the aftermath — flooded roads, a low-lying bridge under the N14 that regularly goes under water, and the return of a notorious pothole that locals know all too well.

Despite the disruption, residents are carrying on with their festive-season routines, showing resilience and good humour as cleanup and rebuilding efforts begin.

This on-the-ground look captures the reality of flooding in Centurion during the rainy season, highlighting infrastructure challenges, road safety concerns, and the unmistakable South African spirit that comes through even after extreme weather.
