long time coming. I'll do a video about my whole journey and where it started at some point. Nutshell version: born with severe, atypical, bilateral clubfoot. Bones, tendons, muscle and nerves were all involved. my feet were basically backwards. they suggested amputation when I was born. but my parents decided to try ❤️ and that's ok. they did their best. I've had 9 reconstructive surgeries on my feet. not to mention the braces, casting, physical therapy
etc. I now have severe osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, raw nerves, stress fractures and severe chronic pain. I will get into that in later vids. I made the choice to amputate my right foot. as conservative options would have prolonged my pain and function. it is extreme and it's not for everyone but it was the right choice for me. I have 3 little kids, and I want to be able to do things with them. live life fully with then.
these are my thoughts the night before this long awaited surgery.
