Malangabang, Conception, Iloilo, started her journey determined to build a better life for her family. With her husband Ryan, a fisherman, they opened a sari-sari store in 2010 with a ₱6,000 loan capital from TSKI, all thanks to a referral from her mother-in-law.

What started as a small store became the first step in a growing enterprise. Using their island’s strategic location as a docking area for fishermen, Shanny and Ryan expanded into fish trading and drying. Later, they ventured into handline fishing, reinvesting profits and building one pump boat after another, eventually owning seven fishing boats and a tourist boat. Along the way, they also launched a mini sound rental service in 2013.

Beyond business growth, Shanny’s greatest success is securing a brighter future for her three daughters, all academic achievers.

“Everything big starts small,” she says. With God’s grace, perseverance, and TSKI’s continued support, Shanny turned a modest dream into a lasting legacy that uplifts her family and her community.
