This is a recording from the March 5, 2026 virtual meeting about the Buffalo Creek Floodplain Reconnection Project.
The Town of West Seneca has a long history of flooding damage along the banks of Buffalo Creek. To address re-occurring flooding, Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper and the town are continuing studies and advancing design plans for a nature-based flood mitigation project.
This virtual meeting displayed final design concepts that, if implemented, would reduce water levels and residential flooding.
Funded by The National Coastal Resiliency Fund and sponsored by Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper and the Town of West Seneca.
