There are a lot of different mast lenghst on the market right now. How would you choose which mast length is right for you? Short mast have two benefits. One, you need less water to foil in. So if you live in a spot with shallow water, a short mast might be the only option you have to go foiling. With alonger mast, the fall is inherently deeper in the water. That means you have much more time to react, to pitch increase before the foil breaches, so it’s actually easier to control the foil on a longer mast.
