Carp EH Diem trail, Marquette Michigan. The Bobcat 418 is approximately 5 feet deep on a very steep hillside, and is digging straight through a knob on the hill. In later episodes, the dirt from the knob is transported behind the 418 to fill in a lower spot and level out the overall grade.
The roll bar is folded down and behind the machine, due to a tree above the machine (see at 1:50 mark). Since the roll bar is behind the machine, it limits the side to side motion of the machine which makes this section an even slower build.
