Removing barriers to rural healthcare: A non-emergency medical transportation study

In this session, Beverly Sidlo-Tolliver and Gavin Bukovich (of the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission) and David Beard (of the University of Minnesota Duluth) share progress on a community-university collaboration to create knowledge and to call for change. The project has two dimensions.

1. Working with the Center for Transportation, the School of Public Policy and the School of Public Health to collect data on the challenges in non-emergency medical transportation in the northeast Minnesota region.

2. Working with professional videographer Dan Fitzpatrick of the University of Minnesota Duluth Motion, Media and Design Lab to interview stakeholders and thought leaders to shape future innovations.
