Deep Fried Turkey Breast
Ingredients
5-10 lb Turkey Breast
3 oz. Tony Chachere's Creole Butter and Jalapeno Marinade
2 tsp kosher salt
2 tsp pepper
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tsp Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning
Directions
Remove the turkey breast from the package and remove the neck and plastic pouch from inside the cavity if provided. Rinse off the turkey and pat dry. Cut off the excess skin from around the neck and sides of the turkey. Pat dry with paper towels. Take your marinade and inject into all sides of the Turkey breast inside and out then combine all the seasonings salt, pepper, onion, garlic and chili powders, paprika and italian seasoning and rub all over the turkey inside, out and underneath the skin. Let the turkey rest while the peanut oil is heating. Once the oil comes up to temp 375. Slowly add the turkey to the oil and cook at 3-4 mins per pound it took my turkey breast 35 mins to reach 160 in the breast. Let rest for 20-30 mins before slicing. The carryover temp brought the breast up to 165 while resting.
