Every year, 1 in 10 babies is born prematurely, and many of these newborns are at risk of serious eye conditions such as Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP). If not detected and treated on time, ROP can lead to permanent vision loss or blindness.
On the occasion of World Prematurity Day (November 17), Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology presents an awareness video highlighting the importance of early eye screening for premature newborns.
