FUTURA RESISTENZA SLAAT TILT!
A sonic exploration of the chaos and rhythms of pinball machines. Using recordings of vintage machines—augmented by live machines on site—Flipperen explores the tension between control and chance: structured sound shaped by randomness. An improvised collage of movement, memory, and Fluxus spirit.
About the artists:
Reinier van Houdt – Composer and pianist from Rotterdam, member of Ensemble MAE and the Ives Ensemble. Studied at Liszt Academy (Budapest) and the Royal Conservatory (The Hague). Premiered works by Robert Ashley, Alvin Curran, Sorabji, and more; collaborated with John Cage, Alvin Lucier, and Luc Ferrari.
Robert Kroos – Rotterdam-based musician and sound designer working in film, animation, and installations, with a focus on sine waves, binaural sound, and brainwave-based compositions.
