Digging up Mexican Sunflowers & Covering Everything: Another Freeze in Zone 10a 🥶

Описание: Another two nights of freezing temperatures are coming to my Florida Zone 10a butterfly garden, and this time the forecast is even colder than our last freeze – we hit 28 degrees! 🥶
In today’s garden visit, I’m doing more to protect my plants and I’m bringing you along for all of it.
In this vlog, you’ll walk through the garden with me as I:

Start digging up my Mexican sunflowers and potting them so I can move them into my Florida room

Show all the plants I decided to cover in the garden and what I used to cover them

Take a peek into my garden room to see all the plants safely tucked inside

Share how I’m protecting my tiny seedlings in there during this cold snap

Walk through the garden the morning after our first freezing night (28°!) to see how everyone did
My Florida native plants came through like absolute champs – I’m so impressed with them. 🌿

I’m also very thankful I covered the plants I did, because I don’t think they would have made it otherwise.
We still have one more night of freezing temperatures ahead, so the plants are staying covered… and you’ll see how that goes in my next video.
