the tricky idea of this arrangement is that the rhythm section plays something like 2/2 while the mouth harp is doing its dual 2/2-2/3 melody rhythm. "zwiefach" is the name for the changing rhythm of 2/2 and 2/3 in folkstyle wiedly known in german, austria, swizzerland ....., the monumental opening totaly improvised for this rec. by robert rußmann on tuba comes out of a simply idea for doing a good stage opening in live-concerts. this theme was often used for amateur video but also for film-music on a professional level.
