उन्होंने banking की तैयारी की, CA try किया, UPSC के सपने भी देखे और private job भी की — stable income, secure future, society की नजर में settled life. But अंदर एक खालीपन था. She realized she was earning well, but not expressing who she truly was.
तभी उन्होंने Mithila Manners के नाम से content बनाना शुरू किया. शुरुआत में views कम थे, लोग सवाल करते थे कि मैथिली folk songs पर वीडियो बनाकर क्या मिलेगा. But Swakshi chose authenticity over trends.
उन्होंने Sohar, Sama Chakeva, Jhijhiya, Jat-Jatin, Maithili wedding songs (Nahchu, Haldi, Samdaun, Vidai), Chhath geet, Kajari, Barahmasa और Jur Sital जैसे traditions को modern digital storytelling के साथ present किया.
