Is the Alpha Fox Trot Romulus the best entry-level budget 2011 on the market? In this first-look review, I unbox and run my first magazine through the new AFT Romulus 4.25" compensated model, then compare it side-by-side with the 3.5" compact version. We test recoil performance, accuracy, trigger feel, and build quality to see if this budget 2011 can compete with guns costing twice as much.
🎯 FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Out of the box, this might be one of the flattest-running compensated 2011s I've shot. The polymer frame keeps it light, the trigger breaks clean with a positive reset, and the accuracy testing shows this gun can shoot better than most shooters. For the money, the Alpha Fox Trot Romulus immediately feels like higher quality than my Springfield Prodigy.

💭 THE VERDICT:
The Alpha Fox Trot Romulus delivers serious performance at a budget-friendly price. While the safety selector ergonomics could use refinement, everything else — from the trigger to accuracy to build quality — makes this a legitimate contender for competitive shooting in USPSA Production, Carry Optics, or even everyday carry for those who can conceal a full-size 2011.
Is this the best budget 2011 for competitive shooters? The data speaks for itself. Watch the full review and accuracy testing to see how it performs.
