The conflict between Iran, the United States and Israel has now entered a new phase of hybrid warfare, where cyber attacks have become a major battlefield.

Along with missile and drone strikes, digital infrastructure and internet systems are being heavily targeted. Reports suggest that large-scale cyber operations were launched against Iran by the US and Israel during the early phase of the conflict.

Due to these cyber attacks, Iran’s internet connectivity reportedly dropped to nearly 4%, severely affecting communication networks. Damage to fiber optic cables and cyber intrusions has disrupted communication and sensor networks.

Several Iranian government websites and news portals were temporarily hacked or taken offline. Digital systems such as traffic cameras and mobile networks in Tehran have also been targeted.

More than 60 hacker groups linked to Iran are said to be active, claiming cyber attacks against government and private institutions across multiple countries.
