Jee advanced 2019 paper 1
A block of weight 100 N is suspended by two wires, one of copper and the other of steel. Both wires have the same cross-sectional area of 0.5 cm².
The length of the copper wire is √3 m, and the length of the steel wire is 1 m.
The upper ends of both wires are fixed to a horizontal ceiling as shown in the figure. The angles made by the copper and steel wires with the ceiling are 30° and 60°, respectively.
If the elongation produced in the copper wire is Δl₍c₎ and that in the steel wire is Δl₍s₎, find the ratio:
