Today, the Lord desires to ease your heart through forgiveness that brings freedom. Today I want to pray with you about forgiveness as liberation, because at the end of a full day, it is often not the body that is most tired, but the soul. Throughout the hours, we accumulate feelings, restrained reactions, swallowed words, and unresolved emotions. Some pains appear clearly; others hide behind smiles, routines, and silence. But God, who knows our inner being, knows exactly where the weight is stored.
Forgiveness is usually not the first path we consider when we are hurt. The natural impulse of the human heart is to protect itself, to close off, to harden. Many times, we believe that keeping the pain alive is a form of justice, as if it could prevent the wrong from happening again. But over time, we realize that the one who suffers most is not the one who caused the hurt, but the one who carries the wound. Forgiveness then appears as a divine invitation to inner freedom.
