Tropico 2: Pirate Cove is the sequel to the original Tropico game released in 2001.
Rather than being set during the cold war era, Tropico 2 sets the clock back to the 1600s when pirates sailed the Carribean, looting and plundering merchant vessels and generally being a nuisance. As a pirate king we rule over an island that serves as a secret harbour and have to manage our economy, various ships as well as the happiness and oppression of our pirates and captives respectively.
