It's been a while, but here goes another throwback!
Let's take a ride back in time in this video series where we look back at some transit footage taken between April 2005 and September 2012. Many of these videos were taken with low-quality digital cameras or with minimal recording settings, hence the poor video quality. Here we look at some footage of the elevated CTA rail lines, or 'the L'. Some clips in this series had been featured on Youtube before (see if you can guess which ones!), but the rest are never before seen on this platform. This throwback compilation shows quite a number of trains that most likely don't exist at all today, including the Budd 2200-series, as well as car equipment assignments that haven't been implemented in a very long time, such as 5000-series full-length trains on the Brown Line! Quite the treasure trove, if you ask me.
