Описание: In Revelation 5, Jesus Christ is referred to as the root of David. He is referred to both as the Lamb of God and the Root of David. Later in Revelation, Jesus Christ is also referred to as the root and offspring of David. Why is Jesus both the root and offspring of King David?

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
