Read Aloud Children’s Picture Book: Pinkalicious Tutu-rrific

Описание: Just trying to do my part while schools and libraries are closed. . .I have read aloud books and I want to read them to you! As a child care provider, as an educator, and as a Mom, I understand the power of words on the page of a book.  Stories take us on adventures. They help us escape.  And right now, we all need to escape, if only for a few minutes. We need a happy place for our minds and our imaginations to visit. We need books! #mybookshelfisopen

Caring for children has been my life’s work.  Through my many years and experiences with children, I have learned three important literacy lessons:  1) Reading is knowledge, and knowledge is power, 2)  Kids like to self-select the stories they listen to, and 3) Kids LOVE to hear the same story over, and over, and over again!  My “library” allows kids to accomplish all three while giving parents a much needed break as they stay home to work, educate, and manage the household.  If I can make one child smile or give just one parent alone time, then my heart will be happy.

To achieve my goal, I have also set up an Instagram page @jbirdandmimi and, from my basement, am steadily uploading stories read by me! It is not high tech.  I am simply using what I have, doing what I know, and hoping to put a smile on a little one’s face!
