【English Description】
This film is a visual work documenting the resonance of Katakamuna,
performed by Norito practitioner Ikkei Hirooka.
Katakamuna is considered an ancient Japanese system of sound, number,
and form—less a language to be understood intellectually,
and more a vibrational structure that works directly on awareness
through sound itself.
Rather than providing explanations or interpretations,
this work focuses on the voice, breath, silence, and spatial vibration,
offering an experience similar to being present in the space.
Even through a screen,
each viewer may receive the resonance in their own time, place,
and state of being.
Please release the need to understand,
and simply remain with the sound.
