Disclaimer: The lyrics are meant to be interpreted purely within the context of Merlin. I'm in no way suggesting that Mordred is equivalent to Moses or Arthur to Ramses, and I'm certainly not suggesting that Morgana is in any way equivalent to God (though perhaps she's got a bit of a god complex). Ultimately, the story isn't that Mordred and Morgana are engaged in some righteous battle against tyranny, but that by deluding themselves into believing this, all they end up doing is turning Arthur more and more against magic and forcing Merlin to take action against his own people.
If you're missing all the "Thus saith the Lord"s, sorry. That's actually my favourite part of the song, but it just didn't fit the context, so it had to go.
