In this short video, Mama Yati takes her guests around the island of Langkawi to celebrate Hari Raya Aidil Adha. This starts by visiting one of her friend's resorts, called Tanabendang Banglos, where the group sat down and ate some delicious bread alongside Mama Yati's homemade curry.
Next, with our bellies full, we proceeded to the North of the Island, near to Gunung Raya to visit the Homemade Buffalo Milk Icecream shop, where we indulged in Orea flavoured ice cream - a fitting dessert to our earlier excesses!
Walking distance from the Ice Cream shop is the Tower House, Kaki Gunung Raya. This is a large building that is used as a creative space for artists. The owner Mr. Tajalli Abdullah and his wife are both artists - and we were fortunate enough to be shown around their home, and view their art for ourselves, which we all found very unique and impressive.
After saying goodbye and Selamat Hari Raya, our next stop on the adventure was NR Langkawi Motel to see some close friends of Mama Yati's. Even though our bellies were still full, we were offered yet more food.
This was the final stop of our Hari Raya Aidil Adha tour, and what a good experience it was. Until next year, inshallah!
