Описание: Amy Hill was getting briefed by Avon Police Chief Gary Benedict when he got the call her father had been found. Don Farrell had been missing for seven days, and hundreds searched for him. Hill was there when rescuers brought her father out of the dense woods in Livingston County. First, she gave him a big hug then she told him: "Dad I'm here. I love you. You're okay." She then rode in the ambulance with her father to Strong Hospital. Farrell was banged up, weak and dehydrated after spending several days without food and only rainwater to drink, but his daughter said he looked good. He told his daughter he got lost, fell and couldn't get up. Despite the massive search, it was actually Farrell's cousin who found him. Stephen Linder told 13 WHAM News: "it was luck that's what it was...I never expected to find him alive after a week, I said, I've been looking for you for a week." Rescuers said it was the best possible outcome. They said it is possible for people to survive for several days without food or water. Farrell's family is grateful he is okay and thankful to the many people who searched for him. Amy Hill told 13 WHAM News: " they never gave up on him, and I can't thank them enough from the bottom of my heart." Friends said Farrell is always helping people and that's why so many people wanted to help find him.
