Описание: Cold Mountain Hike - Cold Mountain is part of the Shining Rock Wilderness area in Pisgah National Forest. The hike includes a 3,000 foot altitude gain to the 6,030 foot peak. The trailhead (Art Loeb Trail) is located at the Daniel Boone Scout Camp. The trail is not marked, but it is worn and easy to follow. This is our first hike in the South Beyond 6000 (SB6K) program. SB6K is an organized program that encourages hikers to climb the forty 6000 foot peaks in the Southern Appalachian Mountains.
