After Ferguson: What's broken in America?
It was a predictable decision followed by a predictable reaction. Riots in Ferguson, Missouri greeted the grand jury's refusal to issue an indictment against the police officer who fatally shot an unarmed 18-year-old black Saint Louis resident last August. It was an incident that drew the world's attention to the entrenched mutual distrust between the district's predominantly white police force and its poor African-American community.
