Описание: A group from the Glenbrook & District Historical Society Inc took a bus trip to visit Portland NSW. Portland was the site of the Commonwealth Portland Cement works which operated from the early 1900''s to the 1990's. It was called "The Town that built Sydney". The town has since overcome the shock of the works closure by re-inventing itself and using the old works for new community activities. The works silos have been painted with murals and the town has murals of old advertising signs.
