We revisited this Subaru Outback after blind spot sensor issues re-emerged following a second windshield replacement. This time, we swapped the passenger-side (slave) blind spot sensor with a used unit—and surprisingly, no calibration was required to get it working. But that’s not good enough for us.
In this video, we show you:
How to set up manual blind spot calibration using Subaru specs
Why understanding target angle and placement is critical
And how we achieved 0.0° deviation, proving that accuracy doesn't need expensive frames
All with basic tools and lots of practice.
We show how we manually mapped the required X-angle using lasers and measuring tape. This isn't magic—this is the 7 Step ADAS method.
👇 Watch how it’s done and take notes.

🧰 Performed full setup using lasers, rulers, and plumb bob
🧠 Shared key insight: slave sensors don’t always require calibration
📏 Verified setup without OE frame—just accurate geometry
💡 Key Takeaways:
Used blind spot sensors can work without calibration—but always verify
Subaru requires precise offset and angle setup, and it's easier than it sounds
Don't guess—read the OE instructions every time
