We are replacing the front brake discs and front brake pads on a 2016 Ford Custom. This is a fairly common job on all vehicles, but in this case, the brake disc installation is somewhat unusual for passenger cars. The discs are mounted between the wheel hub and the steering knuckle. Additionally, since this vehicle has a CV joint, the driveshaft passes through the hub. As a result, we need to completely disassemble the steering knuckle, remove the hub along with the brake disc by loosening the CV joint and mounting bolts. Only after that can we remove the brake disc and install a new one. Essentially, the process is not much different from most other cars, except that it requires a bit more disassembly. However, even beginners can handle it, especially with the help of this video guide.
