The Easiest and Best Method to Start and Grow Canna Lily Seeds with Step by Step Instructions

Описание: This is the best method of scarifying or starting Canna Lily seeds! I have been scarifying Canna Lily seeds for a few years now and this method is my favorite way to start Canna Lily seeds. Pouring boiling water over the seeds softens the hard shell and allows water to penetrate the seed. This will allow the seed to germinate and once the root is 1/8 of an inch long I sow the seeds in potting soil. The Canna Lily seedlings grow fast!

In this video, I started with 100 seeds to see how many would germinate. I put the Canna Lily seeds in a container with a lid so that I can close the lid to keep the humidity in. I mist the seeds every day so the roots don't dry out and keep the container indoors and under a grow light.

I acclimate the seedlings by giving them morning sun and eventually give them sun all day long. When they are a few inches high, they are ready to be planted in my garden. Growing Canna Lily plants from seed is easy with these step by step instructions.
