Ever heard of a supercavitating torpedo? It's a Soviet-era torpedo called VA-111 Shkvl, capable of speeds in excess of 200 knots. It's so fast that enemy submarines or ships don't get enough time to respond, and Iran says it has its own VA-111 Shkvl, the "HOOT Torpedo." These torpedoes use supercavitation, where they essentially vaporize liquid water into gas to avoid the typical drag that liquid water creates. But this torpedo is noisy as hell, and can easily reveal its position to enemy submarines. Although their presence on Iranian submarines is unknown, small subs can't carry them, and only 3 Kilo class subs of the Iranian navy are able to do so, but only with a lot of modifications.
