In this new lesson we learn everything about shell voicing chords, or just shell chords. These are essentially omit 5 chords, only involving 1 3 7 of the chords, the core of those chords. We’ll cover the theory of these chords - with graphics on screen - and all the positions we need for maj7, min7 and dominant7, rooted on the E and rooted on the A. We’ll check out the difference between 1 3 7 and 1 7 3 voicings and why shell chords are so important - and what we can add on top of them.All chord diagrams and theory charts are available to download on my Patreon page.
