I'm nearing 140 hours playing this game because of all the NG+s', experimenting builds, and maxing out stats. This is just a neat little challenge I wanted to try myself before I keep this game into the shelf.
Anyway, no Great Embrace + Combo Magic here. I tried to avoid using reflect as much as possible because it's too cheesy and boring but some Royal Knights (specially Kentaurosmon spamming AoE) will ALWAYS attack once/twice at the start of the battle so this challenge felt almost impossible already. ClavisAngemon's Charm is pretty much mandatory for this reason. You can't even put the knights to sleep because they're straight up immune to it, I never tried the other statuses, I'm too lazy to test each one.
I tried to show all my setup in the video before/after fighting each knight, it's a bit messy though so I'll try to explain some here.
I use Cross Art: High Field - 50% boost to ATK/DEF/INT/SPI/SPD for 3 turns. Nullifies physical/magic damage for 1 turn. Pretty much self-explanatory, it's a huge boost the attacks and a shield. I also tried Cross Art: Strike but it barely did 10%, it sucks. Lol
Ophanimon (it can be any Digimon) - Always put it in lead battle members.
Personality Skill: Planning Ahead (this is important. It reduces the enemy's DEF/SPI for 3 turns as soon as the battle starts). SPD has to be 9999 and holding SPD Attachment so you can guarantee this Digimon will take first turn and then swap it out into another Digimon.
For physical damage dealer I just went with Stout Strength for Personality Skill. I don't know the math behind it but I think it's the best one. And make sure they have any of the Valor personality.
For magic users, I went with Intense Focus for Personality Skill and Wisdom personality. I don't want to use Combo Magic with Great Embrace because I think it's a bug (or a feature).
Both Plutomon and ZombiePlutomon are great. They synergize with each other. Plutomon's Hell's Gate reduces the enemy's DEF by 20% and does boosted damage when used on the knights. Marionette Abomination has 100 power and also does boosted damage on the knights.
KNIGHTMON OP - His signature is really strong but the accuracy is only 50% so good luck with that. It took me plenty of resets to land all 3
Overall equipment used:
Blue Steel Data Fragment x4 (it's the best damage boost equipment in the entire game)
Crimson Dragon Data Fragment x1~2 (for attacks with boosted CRT)
ClavisAngemon's Charm x1~2 (need x4 for Kentaurosmon lol)
Known Bug x1~2 (there's not many good Data attribute Digimon so it's a good idea to experiment with this equipment and give it to a Vaccine or Virus mon)
Multi Wall x1 (on Aegiomon, not really that important)
Sky God's Thunderbolt x1~2 (when you don't have enough Blue Steel Data Fragment then you'll rely on crit)
SPD Attachment x1 (just on Ophanimon)
Who I think was the hardest to fight without taking any damage? I think it's Magnamon, just because he's a Free attribute. He's guaranteed to have some turns to attack any of your Digimon, I just got lucky he kept targeting Aegiomon.
This took me a while to make because finding the right Digimon for the job and then training them up took majority of the time. But yup, this description is too long now. I will stop right here.
