Hoi An, the ancient town in central Vietnam, is now facing one of the worst floods in recent years. Record-breaking rainfall has submerged large parts of the city, with water levels rising more than two meters in many neighborhoods. Streets have turned into rivers, and local people are using boats to move between flooded homes.

According to reports, the Thu Bon River and Vu Gia River have exceeded alarm level 3. As of October 28, water levels in Hoi An reached over 3 meters, causing widespread inundation across the old town and surrounding villages.

Rescue teams are evacuating residents and tourists to safer areas. Many travelers described the scene as “unbelievable,” as iconic streets and cafés were completely underwater. Transportation links between Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An have also been disrupted due to severe flooding and landslides.

At least eight people have been reported dead or missing in Quang Nam province. Authorities are urging everyone to stay alert, avoid flooded zones, and follow safety instructions.
