In this interview I had the pleasure of speaking with an Assistant Director from the Marketing and Recruitment Department at INSEAD to discuss the admissions process and what truly differentiates INSEAD’s programs.

We covered a wide range of topics that are essential for candidates interested in the INSEAD Master in Management (MIM) and Master in Finance (MIF) programs. During the conversation we discussed what makes INSEAD unique compared to other top programs in Europe, how the admissions team evaluates candidates, and whether applicants from less well-known universities can still be competitive.

We also talked about several key elements of the application process, including the importance of university transcripts, professional experience, international exposure, and GMAT scores. Many applicants wonder what score they should target and whether they should apply with scores around the high-500s or low-600s on the GMAT Focus Edition and we addressed these concerns directly.

Another important part of the discussion focused on diversity and inclusion, one of the core values at INSEAD, and how the school builds an international and diverse cohort while evaluating candidates from different backgrounds.

We then moved on to the CV, essays, and interviews, including the Kira interview and the alumni interview, with practical advice on how candidates can prepare and present themselves effectively during the admissions process.

Finally, we discussed the INSEAD Master in Finance (MIF) program, how it differentiates itself from other finance degrees, and how its admissions process compares to the MIM.
