Angel Windows Trail Red RIver Gorge KY

Описание: Today, we are spending the day driving through the Daniel Boone National Forest on the Red River Gorge Scenic Highway here in Kentucky. This is described as the MOST Scenic Drive in KY!

This is a very scenic drive and winds you through the Daniel Boone Forest. It is filled with spectacular rock features, sandstone arches and towering cliffs.

There are many stops along the way where you can take a short trail to many of these formations and we stopped to do some exploring in a lot of these areas! This is our first time driving through Kentucky and will have to say, Kentucky is a beautiful state!!!

One of our first adventures on this scenic drive today was to check out the Angel Windows Trail. If you watch our videos, you will sometimes hear us talk about the cherry on top or end of the trail…well, for such a short ¼ mile walk, this trail offers numerous Cherries! Wow!! , Ledges…..and more ledges….and more ledges! Cliffs…. And many arches…and of course, they just beckon you to crawl through them! We stopped numerous times just to take in all the different formations along this trail.

When you reach the end of this trail, there is a really spectacular area to just sit and soak in the sights and sounds of the forest
